Readiness assessment
Book a Martyn's Law readiness assessment
A practical walk-through of your premises against the four procedures — and an honest view of what's worth doing before commencement.
What the assessment covers
- Which tier your premises is likely to fall into, based on realistic occupancy.
- How your existing emergency plan holds up against evacuation, invacuation, lockdown and communication.
- Where on site an instruction would not currently be heard.
- How quickly, and by whom, the building could actually be secured.
- What — if anything — is worth changing technically, and what is purely procedural.
To be clear: this is a practical readiness review, not a compliance certification. No provider can make your premises compliant, and the Government advises against anyone who says otherwise.
